Dalin Error began his oil and gas career in 1997, serving as an analyst, manager, and officer in PCS and PCS's predecessor firm. In 2008, Mr. Error left PCS to accept a management position with one of the firm's clients. In 2016, Mr. Error returned to PCS as the firm's President and then subsequently also became Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In January 2023, Mr. Error resigned as President of PCS to accept a Director's position in accounting and auditing with another PCS client. While no longer involved in PCS's daily operations, Mr. Error remains an advisor to the firm and continues as Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Error is a member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS), where he previously served on the Board of Directors from 2019-2024. He served as President of COPAS in 2022. In addition, Mr. Error has served on the Computerized Equipment Pricing System (CEPS) Panel since 2011. Previously, he served two years as the Chairman of the COPAS Audit Standing Committee. Mr. Error has also participated on several COPAS document drafting teams and authored questions for the updated Accredited Petroleum Accountant (APA) certification exam. He is a COPAS Energy Education (CEE) instructor in oil and gas joint venture audit and operations.
Mr. Error graduated with Honors from Sam Houston State University and is a member of the Petroleum Accountants Society of Houston (PASH).
