Dalin Error
Chairman of the Board and Advisor
Dalin Error began his oil and gas career in 1997, serving as an analyst, manager, and officer in PCS and PCS's predecessor firm. In 2008, Mr. Error left PCS to accept a management position with one of the firm's clients. In 2016, Mr. Error returned to PCS as the firm's President and then subsequently also became Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In January 2023, Mr. Error resigned as President of PCS to accept a Director's position in accounting and auditing with another PCS client. While no longer involved in PCS's daily operations, Mr. Error remains an advisor to the firm and continues as Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Error is a member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS), where he currently serves on the Board of Directors (2019-2024). He served as President of COPAS in 2022. In addition, Mr. Error has served on the Computerized Equipment Pricing System (CEPS) Panel since 2011. Previously, he served two years as the Chairman of the COPAS Audit Standing Committee. Mr. Error has also participated on several COPAS document drafting teams and authored questions for the updated Accedited Petroleum Accountant (APA) certification exam, He is a COPAS Energy Education (CEE) instructor in oil and gas joint venture audit and operations.
Mr. Error graduated with Honors from Sam Houston State University and is a member of the Petroleum Accountants Society of Houston (PASH).
William Davis, MSAccy, CPA, CIA
Director and Advisor
Bill Davis is the founder of PCS and has been in the industry for almost fifty years. He has extensive domestic and international experience.
Mr. Davis began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1975. In 1984 he established William Ray Davis III, CPA, a CPA firm specializing in auditing oil and gas joint ventures. This firm's assets and employees were acquired by PCS effective January 1, 2001, where Mr. Davis was President until retiring from the position in 2012. He continues to serve as an advisor to PCS and its clients.
Mr. Davis graduated with a BBA degree in Management from the University of Texas at Austin and also earned a MSAccy degree from the University of Houston. He is a CPA, licensed in both Texas and Louisiana, a CIA and a member of PASH and COPAS.
Mr. Davis is a former Marine Corps captain, naval aviator, and combat decorated life member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association.
Lee S. Gill
Attorney
The legal advisor to PCS is Lee S. Gill of Jones Gill Porter Crawford & Crawford LLP (www.jonesgill.com). Mr. Gill has decades of petroleum industry legal experience, and he is Board Certified in Oil, Gas, Mineral law.
Mr. Gill and his firm act as counsel to PCS on an as-needed basis. No attorney-client relationship will be established between clients of PCS and Mr. Gill or his firm, except pursuant to a written engagement agreement, on a case-by-case basis. Mr. Gill can be reached at 713-652-4068.
